Philly is an interesting team. They have a top 5 NBA player in Embiid (whos always injured), a mega star in the making in Maxey, Paul George and that’s it. The kid from Duke will get some run and Bona is gonna have legitimate opportunities. There is not a 4 on the roster. Embiid, Drummond and Reed are all immobile 5s. I’m sure they’ll sign someone, but Bona is gonna get some PT unless he’s just not close to being ready. I watch a fair amount of sixer games and Bona would be a nice pairing with Embiid. Since Bona has to be on thr block offensively, you need a 5 who’ll play on the perimeter and that’s Embiid. On the defensive side,Bona should be able to guards 3-5. He’s gonnna need to focus on rebounding and defending.
