played against your dad's team. We always played 4 to 5 exhibition games against army teams before our Air Force Germany District conference season started. The Army teams were always very good especially those with squads made up of NBA and college players. I got to know two of them up close (Larry Costello and Frank Selvy) when I was a member of the US CISM team. I was one of the two Air Force players on the team and the other ten were from various army bases. There was another Air Force representative on the team you may have heard of. He was a young lieutenant named Dean Smith who was one of the assistant coaches.
