We've been over this. UCLA remains, and always will be, a very appealing program for *any* player, regardless of who our coach is. That's part of Wooden's legacy. It also doesn't hurt that UCLA is in a beautiful area and has a beautiful, charming campus. It's a place where young guys would love to be.
This is particularly true with guys who aren't from around here. You'll notice that several of our transfers aren't from California.
I know that most of have imbibed enough Cronin Kool-Aid to drown a small city, so all we can really do is watch this play out. When the team struggles again, and when Cronin melts down when he needs to be focused and measured, some of you will come around to seeing him for what he is: an average coach who had this job fall into his lap after our top targets for the position didn't pan out. He's never built a roster of his own at UCLA that's done anything noteworthy, and I doubt he's going to. He'll eventually be back coaching at a smaller, less relevant program screaming till he's blue in the face, where his ugly, childlike behaviors will be more freely tolerated.
