I give it 5 years or so until UCLA, USC, Oregon and Washington realize that the excess travel time to and from the midwest is too much for the respective schools' athletes (and Cal and Stanford figure out the same with respect to going to and from the Atlantic Coast) and the teams reform the conference along with Oregon State, Washington State and possibly some Mountain West teams (Boise State, Fresno State, San Diego State, San Jose State, etc.).
