I think it's hard to predict how this team will come together. However, from what we heard from coach Cronin in that interview with BRO, I think he feels he has a team that can compete for a championship. He certainly alluded to that. Seems to me he feels we have the talent to do so. I'm not saying we should be rated higher. Just saying it's probably reasonable to think we should be rated somewhere in the top 25.
The other thing that needs to be taken into account is that just about all these teams ahead of us are also going to go through some of what we have to. Just about all the teams ahead of us have also brought in a slew of transfers. Even Kansas who has a strong core returning will be adding guys from Wisconsin, South Dakota State, and 5-star freshman. So who knows? I can't remember a year when everything is so up in the air. At this point, I think a lot of pundits are looking to the coaches. I feel we have a pretty good one. We'll see how it plays out.
