First off I want to state again I'm a Cronin fan. I though he cam off as very genuine, and I loved the deep dive into every new player. If you're not excited by what he had to say, you must not get excited about much. However, I will continue to take issue with his demeanor on the court, more specifically how he gets on his players for mistakes. For that matter even outside the court. I'm referring to his statements after games. I will say, he did a fantastic job of trying to explain his tactics and how they come from a place of love. I'm sure that in his and many others' minds they do. There's much of what he stated, I truly agree with. You absolutely have to keep kids accountable and kids absolutely are more willing to perform for you if they understand you're coming from a good place. Still, as an educator of 25+ years, I know there are plenty of positive ways to send a message.
I know this is not an apples-to-apples comparison but it's kinda like an abusive parent telling his kids he's doing it for their own good. Still not right.
