I like the way the guy presents it. He has a computer model apparently and heavily relies on it but with a qualitative view. He has Purdue finishing 2nd because of their coach even though their returning roster and newcomers doesn't really justify it. The kicker is his line on worst case scenario:
"There are downsides here. There’s no way to keep 14 players happy. Plus factor in that they’re being coached by Mick Cronin so they’re likely already miserable. If UCLA gets off to a rough start then this absolutely has potential to blow up in Cronin’s face with just abominable team chemistry."
That said, he goes on to post why he thinks that will not happen. He really likes the quality depth we have next season. I was surprised he does not list Kobe Johnson even though he averaged 11 points/game and is a two time member of the Pac12 All Defensive team.
The writer is not necessarily a Mick Cronin fan (he ranks him 26th) but notes that last year was an aberration from Cronin's usual good results. A good read I thought.
