as a basketball player, certainly not when he was healthy and at his peak (12 years old?).
Some may equal or surpass his accomplishments as a broadcaster -- as polarizing as he could be, he was named one of the top-50 sportscasters of all time, and made more in one year calling basketball games than in his entire career playing them.
But we can all strive to emulate his love of life, to eat and to drink, and enjoy the good of all our labors under the sun, all the days of our lives; and in that way, he may live on within us, and the world, no doubt, will be a better place.
