for trying to reason with me like a man, as opposed to making creepy references to sexual molestation of minors or outright insulting me.

I see where you are coming from, but I don't see the harm in me thinking some players are bad and calling them out for it. I was mostly amusing myself when I came up with the pun on McClendon's name, and honestly probably stuck with it because I saw how ridiculously worked up some people in here got because of it.

there have surely been posters in here that have said some horrendous things about various players in the last year. I still think my pun was pretty harmless but it seems people get very sensitive about these college players so I'll try to be a little respectful of that going forward.

I agree that Will had an excellent pedigree - like I mentioned he was ranked the #45 player by Rivals coming out of high school. The fact that he came no where close to realizing that potential was highly frustrating. When programs recruit players of that perceived caliber, and they get something vastly different, it can be quite damaging to a program (see 2023-2024 season). I always wanted Will to do well, because if he does well, it means my beloved Bruins are doing well. This last year his play was more tolerable, but only because we collectively reduced our expectations to the lowest rung possible. I don't like to cut players slack like that, because that's how an organization or program quickly becomes mediocre. I expected much more from him, he didn't deliver. He had a very frustrating career by my higher standard, and I'll leave it at that.
