Often, I think the NBA overrates athleticism and underrates game instincts / court intelligence. I was really high on JJJ for this reason. He was never rushed in court. Infinitely clever in how to get a bucket. And despite not being considered overly athletic, his speed and hops have improved considerably since joining the league.
I see Bona falling into the opposite category. Has all the tools, but it feels like the game moves quickly for him. Believe he learned basketball later in life, so maybe that will come to him.
I wasn't very high on Lavine either and he turned out to be a superstar (albeit, i still don't think he's shown he can play winning basketball), so I may be wrong. Hopefully Bona proves to be a huge star, and I'll certainly be rooting for him. But I'd give him a second round grade if I were a scout.
