and some day be a pretty good player. Last season, for all his positives that he provided for the team, he also provided a lot of negatives. There are so many areas where he needs to improve in order to be the player I believe he has the potential to be. He has a lot of things about his game that are hard to teach and a lot of bad habits that he needs to get past.
The good news is that he will have a lot of opportunities to improve because he won't be called upon to do more than he is capable of. Cronin, rightfully IMO, has brought in a number of guards with experience and talent and they will take a lot of the pressure Mack was under to perform immediately beyond his capabilities. Unless he improves significantly quickly I believe when the season comes around he might indeed be behind Clark, Harris and maybe even Perry, not to mention Andrews, in the depth chart. By season's end he may have surpassed Harris, Clark, and Perry, but right now he has a ways to go to be a consistent presence on the court on both sides of the ball IMO.
