I only watched Jaime in the playoffs, but it seemed as if they mostly had him guarding guards standing at the 3pt arc/in the corner, and rarely took advantage of his offensive skill set he showed in college.
In my watching, he was their 2nd best player in the series (behind Adebayo), and did FAR better than Herro. Admittedly, per above, they didn't use him as much as Herro, but it seemed to me that they would have done far better trying to get him paint touches for the post moves and kickouts/cutter passes he did so well for us. Instead, he had to get those on his own a couple of times a game, and Miami was worse off for not trying it - he had one of the best +/- 's on the team for the games I checked. They still probably would have lost, but they would have been better.
I'm hoping that he makes the 2nd year leap. Even now, he's better than most players in the league at all things besides scoring which make winning teams.
